I was lucky enough to receive a Carousel Junior Gumball Machine Gift Set with Gumball Refill to review. I was so thrilled about this that I spent the whole day waiting for the delivery guy. Growing up we didn’t get a lot of gumballs from machines so when we did it was such a treat and I wanted my children to have the same excitement. Getting this machine set up is a breeze, you simply take the screw out of the top,lift the little red cap and fill it with your gumballs.
It comes set to accept money (any coin) but you can reset it to where it will work without putting anything in. I let mine where you have to put money in which is the bane of my children’s existence I guess. They hate that in order to get a gumball they have to put a penny in (never mind there is a little cup of pennies right there.) My mom made the suggestion of putting other candies in it and you can but how frustrating would be to only get one little chocolate candy out at a time. I would throw it in the floor in frustration (yes, my children take after me.) As you can see it looks great and is such a whimsical piece in my kitchen.

I bought a King Gumball free standing machine. The money mechanism truly never worked right. Sometime it works with a quarter or penny, etc. other times nothing comes out of the dispenser. Very frustrating for my 6 year old grandson, recepient of the gift.
