This is on of those ideas when I say to myself ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’ I think this is a wonderful idea and with refresh those memories we sometimes forget.
I also heard of an idea I wanted to share with you. On the first day of school make a sign that lists the school year and take your kids pictures with the sign the morning before they go off for their first day.

My wife and I don’t have kids yet, but this is definitely something that we’re going to do when we do have kids. Heck, maybe we’ll even shoot for the stars and go for photographing them once per week or once per day. Great idea!
To me, there is nothing more important to children than seeing how they once were and how they’ve grown. I think photographs makes children see their importance in our lives.
