Have you ever wanted to give a friend or family member an eBook but you also want the joy of giving them a gift card, something they can actually hold? This is especially important at Christmas time when you want to stuff a stocking but who really wants to print out an ecard? Livrada is a new way to give eBooks through an actual gift card with the book cover on them.
A Livrada e-book card is a (physical) gift card, sold at retail, that represents a specific e-book title (e.g., The Adventures of Tom Sawyer ). Each card is beautifully designed with the book cover art and also includes a description, much like a traditional book jacket. The card allows the holder to redeem and download the specific e-book onto their e-reader device. At launch, this includes all Kindle and NOOK devices. The plan is to expand to other e-readers soon.
I got a card for Fifty Shades of Grey and using it was so simple and easy. I just go to the Livrada site, enter my number from my gift card and then select whether I have a Nook or a Kindle. The book is downloaded and sent to y eReader…easy peasy! I am so excited about this method of giving books. My sister in-law loves to read and now I can fill her stocking up with books and she actually gets something physical.
Livrada cards are currently being sold at Targets nationwide. Hurry and go check these out, I guarantee you are going to love them
