When I was young, about 8 or 9 we lived in a small town near where I live now. When I say small I mean there are no grocery stores, a gas station, and I walked to school everyday because we lived around the corner. We drive through there often as it is on our way to the next major city. The other day I stopped to walk around and take a couple of pictures. The lane in the picture above actually leads to the house we lived in. Isn’t just pretty? I wanted to walk up and take a picture of the house but I was only going to be there a few minutes and I didn’t want the family living there now thinking I was some sort of crazy lady.
This building is a doctor’s office and was that when I lived there. It used to be a Train Depot and I just love the look of the building. There is honestly just something about it that speaks to me. The light next to the door though does strange things when the sun starts to go down. I am guessing it is knows that the sun is going down and starts to come on but it flashes before it stays steady.
This building was a storage building for the church Thrift Store but I am unsure what it is now. It looks as though it hasn’t been used in the last few years. There used to be train tracks that ran in front of it but they have gone through the entire county and pulled them up. In fact I remember one year when the train turned over in our backyard. There were wood chips everywhere.
Tell me about the town you grew up in!
