About the Book:
Based on someone’s truth.
This story confronts and asks the reader, Shall We Tell The Bride? Would you? It is the story of Tammy; a woman who unknowingly marries a gay man.
The story begins the night before the wedding with the bridesmaids asking “Should we tell her? It seems everyone knows Peter is gay except Tammy. The problem is they have no evidence. The bridesmaids make a pact to keep the secret and hope for the best, although they expect the worst. Tammy’s journey unfolds in a flow of hilarity, desperation, grief, heartache, joy and laughter. At times uncomfortable, it is a recollection of blazing honesty, healing and making the most out of what life can throw at us.
Shall We Tell The Bride is the story of the heroine in every woman and the joy of finding one’s self.
Tracey Maree has done a wonderful job exploring the issue of do you tell the bride that her groom is gay or do you simply let her find out on her own. Life throws us some crazy situtations and we all have to choose how to handle them but to be honest I would not want to be in the shoes of the bridemaids. Tammy is a wonderful character that I could easily see as a friend and there are times when I just wanted to cry for her.
