Valentine’s Day is right around the corner ( I know Christmas just ended but I didn’t make up how close together they are) and you better start thinking now about what you want. Simple American Style has something for you that I know you will love.

Recycled Glass Necklace

I received this beautiful Recycled Glass Necklace and it is more beautiful in person than in the picture. The stone is made of recycled mason jars from the 1940’s which tugs at this Southern girl’s heart strings. I love that the necklace is long enough and doesn’t choke me and it is such a unique piece that goes with anything. The Mason Jar color is only one color available.

The matching earrings are just as beautiful and add a touch of elegance to any outfit. I have very few handmade pieces because many times they only last for a short time. These however aren’t made that way. They are made to last and have already survived the attack of the teenagers at the holidays. They spent hours passing them back and forth trying them on. In fact I can’t find the earrings at the moment and have a pretty good idea that they made their way home with my sister.

My favorite items from Simple American Style are the Crown Supreme Memory Foam Dog Bed and the Large Cedar Pet Toy Box. I foster dogs from my local shelter and would love to have a new comfy bed for them, as well as as stylish storage for all of the toys that are currently strewn around the house.

My wife isn’t big on metallic and jeweled jewelry, but I think she would definitely appreciate the idea of recycled glass. We are big into recycling and upcycling. In fact, she has a business, called “my arcade parade”, in which she sells handmade, fabric-based jewelry, which is made with upcycled fabric. She sells her jewelry at our local Whole Foods Market and another local store. If you’re interested, you can find her Etsy store here:
