I promised y’all that I would explain the need for the new look and while I had planned on doing it on Monday I figured it would be just as good done today. I had planned originally to do all of the work over the weekend but then I got the design finished and approved and honestly couldn’t wait.
I wanted a new theme design after lusting over the smooth scrolling look of Lenore’s new site. She had some work done and when I was doing some updates for her I was envious. Her design is awesome and while it wouldn’t work for me I knew I wanted something smoother. I can across the design that you now see. When you scroll down things just look so much smoother. I had always had a footer and truthfully I have been at a lost as to what to put down there in the last couple of years.

Now it just has my Instagram and a little information. I can easily change it I need to, which is something else I love. I loved the purple color but I will be honest and tell you that the last month or so when I looked at my blog it just looked underdone and more like something I would have done when I first started out. I wanted something more polished. I came across the logo design on Etsy and the color just worked for me. The keyboard background you see on the top blends a bit more with the theme and I loved the gold paperclips. You will also notice that there is gold more throughout the design in places. I felt that it accented things a bit more.
The background came when I went in search of a coral color to offset things. That pink with coral in it just worked for me. There is still plenty that needs to be done and by Monday everything will have been adjusted and changed. You will notice a lot of different images and such. Also there will be a giveaway on Monday that I hope you will all enjoy. I was and am a bit nervous but things fell into place when I showed Ma. The first words out of her mouth were “Why did you make so big?” Then she said “I love it! This is what you are capable of.” That is the highest praise from my mother and that praise has never come easily or freely. I really hope that you all like it.
