I don’t know about all of you but I love food and everything to do with food including all the gadgets in the kitchen. Welcome to another week of Tasty Tuesday where you will find anything from a recipe to tips on washing dishes! Just kidding cause, I hate to wash dishes and will get out of it if I possibly can and do most nights!
So this week I thought I would share with you my thoughts on desserts for Ester Sunday. There are so many different things that you could have and we have in the past typically had a carrot cake. This year I decided to do things differently and I ordered a cheesecake from Schwans. Mostly because I want to enjoy the day and not spent most of it cooking. I didn’t make that decision lightly but I am so glad that I did. After so research though I wanted to share some amazing recipes I found and considered.
Southern Living has an amazing strawberry cake recipe but I thought this would be better suited for the Fourth of July than Easter. At least to me it is. While you are over there be sure to scroll through all of the other recipes. There is a Lemon Sherbet Cupcake that looks so good and almost made it to my table this year. Then I decided I was being lazy!
Real Simple has a few ideas as well. Such as their Apricot-Coconut Cake which looked so beautiful. I have never had apricots before and truly considered this one. Again before I decided I wanted simple and easy. There was also a lemon bars recipe that reminded me much of one of my favorite book characters.
Bon Appetit had a lot of beautiful ideas but my favorite over there was the Lavender Shortbread with Fruit, Flowers, and Herbs. It is so pretty but so elaborate that I worry I would never have the patience.
What are you making for Easter dessert?
