I don’t know about all of you but I love food and everything to do with food including all the gadgets in the kitchen. Welcome to another week of Tasty Tuesday where you will find anything from a recipe to tips on washing dishes! Just kidding cause, I hate to wash dishes and will get out of it if I possibly can and do most nights!
This Easter I am doing roasted potatoes along with corn and some cheddar rolls with our dinner. We are keeping it simple and I will be honest and tell you that most of this I ordered from Schwan’s. That means it is all ready to go in the oven or on the stove. The only thing I didn’t order that way was our meat and I will be sharing that with you next week. I know that many of us go with that standard fare for our holidays. Below I wanted to share some great recipes that I found. First though I have a couple of questions for you all.
Is hamburgers and hot-dogs alright?
Now I am not opposed to this on most days but when this was suggested by my cousin I almost hit the floor. Easter just doesn’t seem the day to have that to me. I’m judging if you do but am curious.
How many serve potato salad with ham?
This is something my mother’s family does all the time. Again to me it seems off. To me potato salad is a summer or a barbecue sort of dish. Maybe a picnic. I am sure this is just me and I will be honest and say I can remember having it a couple of times as a child for Easter.
On to the Food!
- Okay The Food Network takes scalloped potatoes to a whole new level with their four cheese one. While I didn’t want them for Easter dinner I bet they would be awesome with steaks.
- Southern Living has a potato hash that looks so good. I typically like has for breakfast but you better believe this recipe is one I am going to try out.
- The garlic-sesame green beans at Taste of Home look divine. I haven’t heard of using garlic with green beans but I bet it is good.
