One thing I get asked a lot is how I do all of the things that I do each day. I will tell you there are days when it is harder than others. My mornings are pretty hectic and full. At least they are Monday through Friday. Weekends I honestly try to take most of those two days off. Although there are some weekends when I work or handle some things. I thought I would walk you through my morning. Now depending on the day some of the things change.
4:00 am Wake Up
I typically take a few minutes in the bed when I first wake up to go through what I want to get done for the day. Then I go ahead and do my morning rosary and prayers. After that I deal with brushing my teeth, and other bathroom stuff. I also make my bed and start any laundry for the day during this time.
Answer emails for Rita Reviews, Pucker Factor Offroad, and Lenore Harper. Yep! I do have two other jobs that I do.
Meet Lenore at the gym. We work out for at least an hour. We typically spend the workout discussing some of the things that we need to get done for the day or the week. Sometimes we just discuss issues with her next book or story line.
Back home, shower, check emails again, turn on the coffee for the senior citizens. Do my Top Three and then start writing articles on my to do list. Switch any laundry around, start next loads, etc. All dry laundry is put onto my bed, unfolded.
The older kids get up and I feed them breakfast if it is my day to do that. Some days Ma does things while I work.
The twins are up. I feed them and then we get the beds made and the rest of the house cleaned. I do any huge cleaning on the weekends when I have the time. Typically I take on one major cleaning each weekend. That way I stay on top of things. I have a rotating schedule.
9:00:00 am – 12 pm
Morning Homeschool. We pack a lot into a few hours but it is the way my kids learn so that it a good thing.
Work, now depending on the day it could be for Rita Reviews, Pucker Factor Offroad, or Lenore Harper. During this time the older kids have their quiet study time for about an hour and then some days they have gym which they do with some other kids. Carpool picks them up and takes them there. The kids also get lunch during this time. Ma handles that for me.
I pick up the older kids on the days they have gym and have a quick homeschool parenting meeting. We have a local group that works together to ensure that our kids are getting the education and support they need.
Tea Time! I have a quick afternoon tea break. Maybe a small sandwich or something.
Back to work, answering emails and attempting to finish out for the day (for the most part.)
Spend some time with the kids, watch the news, and chill for a bit.
Dinner. After dinner it’s bath time for the kids and we may watch a movie or unwind some more. The kids all get into bed and you would think my day would end but sadly no it doesn’t. Once everyone is in bed I fold the laundry on my bed and finish that up. I make lunch for the enxt day, decide on breakfast and more.
Check and answer emails for the last time of the day. Then I read a little bit and head to bed.
