Welcome to another week of Tasty Tuesday where you will find anything from a recipe to tips on washing dishes! Just kidding cause, I hate to wash dishes and will get out of it if I possibly can and do most nights! In fact we have a rule at my house. If you cook you don’t have to clean and it has served me well. Although I will tell you that on the nights that Ma prepares dinner we end up using paper plates. She may have the right idea! I don’t know about all of you but I love food and everything to do with food including all the gadgets in the kitchen. Some of my fondest memories of my Granny as well as a great-aunt are of being in the kitchen together. My granny was a difficult woman but for some reason she took the time to teach me how to cook and encouraged my love of food (well the making of it not the eating it.)
Let’s Talk Cheese
When I was at my brother’s house he had some cheese that I just went gaga for! We don’t have it here in my local grocery store but then again we don’t have a lot of things there. It’s a small town store and you have to request anything beyond the standards. That’s not normally a big deal but this cheese was simply to die for!
It is Sargento’s Ultra Thin Mild Cheddar and let me tell you it is the best cheese ever. No one is paying to say that either, I simply had some and loved it. I knew I would have to share it with you all as well. They have some other flavors which I have purchased as well on my trip to Walmart this month.
This is paper-thin and perfect on a burger. That is the way I had it the first time. I love cheese but it doesn’t always love me and this was the wonderful surprise that allowed me to have cheese. It gives me just enough to not have me reaching for a (get ready for some TMI) laxative within a day or two. I tried it on my sandwich after that and discovered it was still just as fabulous!
As you can see in the picture above it is so thin that you can actually see the design on the plate beneath it. It is so smooth and I can tell you right now there is about six packages of this in my refrigerator at the moment. Okay more like ten but don’t be judgey!
