Parenting is hard, boy is that the understatement of the year! It is never easy when you are the one responsible for the lives of other people. It is even worst when everything you do affects how this small person will be and who they become. Every decision you make affects them and there times when you find yourself wondering if you are doing it right nor not.
BYOU (Be Your Own You) Magazine for Girls is a magazine published by Heartlight Girls Publications, LLC that helps build self-esteem in fun and empowering ways for girls ages 7-15. While BYOU Magazine does have articles about celebrity role models it is not your everyday ordinary teen magazine.
Recently I attended a teleconference with two potty training experts , Dr. Alberto Andres Cotton and Jeannette Kaplun {shown above} thanks to Pull-Ups and Latina Mom Bloggers. I really learned a lot and I want to share some of the tips with you but first let me give you a little background on Dr. Cotton and Jeannette.
I am so pleased to announce that I am a part of the Madrinas del Baño campaign and have so much to share with you all. Have you already potty trained your child? Are you just getting started? I will never forget when we went through the whole potty training experience. You just want them to hurry up and for some unknown reason they take forever.
I talked with you all before about RSV and how Hispanic American children are at a higher risk. I want to share with you today some more information about RSV and ways to help keep not only your baby but other babies as well safe. RSV stands for Respiratory Syncytial Virus and it is extremely dangerous and contagious for babies within the first six months of life. Premature infants have a higher risk of serious complications or death from RSV due to their underdeveloped lungs and compromised immunity. As a premature baby myself who had medical complications I can tell you that many of those complications have followed me into adulthood.
This month’s Gabby Moms review spoke to me more than any of the past. Being a mom is hard and being a centered and sane mom is even harder. Not to mention learning to be grateful, it is not that I don’t want to be but life sometimes gets you down and you forget. Lorrie tells us that being grateful is something you choose to be and although it is a hard thing to achieve, we need to try really hard to keep a grateful heart. The reason is because our children are watching all that we do.
