So I have decided that this year I am determined to read 1000 books and share them all with you. Regardless of whether it is a book that I was given to review or one that I purchased for myself (or a gift since I get lots of books as gifts) I will share with you all what I think about them. Hopefully there may be one or two of them that you will enjoy as well. So stay tuned because you will be seeing more and more books here. More books this year is just the beginning of the things that I will be sharing with you more this year.
Cookbooks Count!
If I review a cookbook this year then I will count it as part of this list. The reason is that when I review a cookbook I actually do take the time to read the entire thing cover to cover. I check out every single recipe and note that is listed there.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Wow – you have an incredible goal! I can’t wait to read some of the reviews. I find that it’s a good way to find new books I might not have considered otherwise.
Rita says
I’m glad that you can’t wait. I just really want to get back into reading more. It is how I began my blogging career and I want to get back to my roots a bit. Plus I LOVE to read!

Wow, that is quite a goal! I know how you feel about there not being enough hours in the day. I’ve been reading a ton lately and it’s been nice. Are you trying to do this within a year or just until you reach 1000? I thought I read a lot but I cannot imagine averaging 3.65 books a day! Good luck to you and I can’t wait to read the reviews! I’ve recently discovered dystopian books and have been soaking them up. 🙂

I’m trying to do this within the year. I actually get tons of requests for book reviews and usually turn many down. I want to not turn as many down not to mention share all the books with you all that I buy for myself or that are given to me. I will actually post the links to each book this year above as I post them.

I also love to read, 1000 books in one year seems like so much, I’m lucky if I have time to read 1 book, I used to read at least a book a week when my girls were young..seems weird that I have no time to read now…good for you!
Rita says
It does seem like a lot but for me honestly it isn’t. I can read a 300 page book in about an hour to an hour and half. I’m not sure why but I think it has to do with the fact that when i was young and learned to read I couldn’t find enough to read fast enough. I learned to read at the age of 3 and haven’t stopped since.

I should really read more books too. I’m ashamed to say that I usually don’t read more than 5 or 6 good sized books a year.

1,000 books is an admirable goal. I wish you luck with it. I know what you mean about it being hard to find the time to read. I’ve been very happy to get back to reading for pleasure over the last several months. I credit you for getting me hooked on the Outlander series. I’m reading Voyager now!

I also love to read. I know what you mean about life just getting in the way. I used to read a book a day on average and then I got so bust that I haven’t had as much time to read. I hope to get back into reading again. Maybe one of your reviews will be the book that sparks my interest.

WOW!!! I have seen goals of 300, but 1000! I am so impressed that you even challenged yourself this much! Good luck!
Sherry Keef says
Wow, I know you are an avid book reader. I admire your determination as well as your love for reading.

I know you love to read to aspire to read 1000 books.

There was a time when I could see 1000 books in a year. That time is long past but I hope that it will come back around again. For now it’s kids’ books and audiobooks.
