195 Handbags {Review}

Like most women I love handbags, in fact I have so many that my husband threatens to throw half of the out every other day. Also like most women I am always in need of another one. The truth is I really needed a clutch of some sort for those times that I went somewhere special or for certain events.  I recently found 195 Handbags and was given the opportunity to review one of their clutches. 195 Handbags is truly unique because their handbags are made from tires, that’s right tires!

Since our products are manufactured mainly from tires, our name evokes the memory of the first set ever used in the conception of these handbags. Our brand was born from the three parameters contained in the tire serial process: Width of the tire, the height-to-width ratio, and the rim diameter; which in the case of the first ensemble, the serial was: 195/60R/14, and from there on the brand was crowned: 195, The Handbag Company.

Our Miami-based company, collects this type of tires, tractor and motorcycle tires as well, in order to manufacture our creations. All of our items are hand-sewn and biodegradable yarns are used to sow them. We also use ecological leather to enhance our brand’s values.

Inspired from a mix of Italian, American and Latin culture, ONE NINE FIVE aims to translate through its designs a fresh blend of cultures, ideals and fashions.

I received the 75R Luxury Clutch and I was very surprised at the size of it. I was excepting a really small clutch but this is more than big enough for all of my stuff but small enough to be elegant and lady like. The oval really adds to the style of the bag and gives it a focal point.

Like I said it is big enough to get all of my stuff inside which is great. I have had clutches int he past that all I could get into them was my keys and a small pouch with my id in it. I hate that because I carry more than just a couple of items no matter where I go. The inside is lined and has two pockets so you can carry your phone. It was a little hard pulling it wide at first but the more you use it the more flexible it becomes. I would suggest pulling it wide several times (as my mom is doing in the pic) before your first use. This will allow the bag to flex some.

Had it not been for the blue line along the back I would have never guessed this clutch was made from a tire. The line is a dead giveaway but to be honest it takes nothing away from the bag. It actually adds to it because when people comment on the unusualness of the stripe I then tell them my clutch is made from tires and they immediately want to know where I got it from.
