I am expecting 2015 to full of fun and giveaways here at Rita Reviews. I know that we have all had a ton of fun with them and I want to let you all know of a few changes to the giveaway rules that will take place tomorrow. These rules are very simple and in fact some have been in place for a while but I don’t think I have ever voiced them.
Selecting a Winner
When a giveaway ends I generally select a winner within 72 hours. I know that when you enter a giveaway you are super excited and want to know the winner right away. I would love to say that I pick a winner right then but sometimes I do not. Running and managing giveaways take a lot of work behind the scenes. Before I can select a winner I have to verify each and every entry into that giveaway. So if I have a giveaway that have 1000 entries it takes me a good two hours to get everything verified and deal with distractions from the kids.
Claiming Your Prize
In order to claim a prize the winner must reply to an email that I send out within 48 hours. The purpose behind that is to keep it fair to everyone. I try very hard to not select winners on Fridays or over the weekend although it does occasionally happen. I have been and will tweet when a winner has been selected so that you know to check your emails. All of my tweets post to my Facebook page as well so social media is the easiest way to keep up with when a winner has been selected.
Announcing a Winner
You can click the link in my menu bar that says Winners to see the list of winners for giveaways. Tomorrow the page will change to the 2015 list. I list the name that the winner gives on the Rafflecopter form. If you would like another name listed please be sure to tell me when you claim your prize. Also please not that by entering a giveaway you agree to have your name listed not only on Rita Reviews but also on the Sponsor’s website and/or social media. This does not always happen but it can.
Newsletter Subscriber Code
Every Friday I send out a newsletter with a code. This code can be entered within the Rafflecopter, there is a space provided as you can see in the image above.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
