It is the start of the new year and that time where goals are made. This year I am doing something a little different thanks to something I found on Etsy. The past couple of years I haven’t really set any goals or anything. Just sort of being flying by the seat of my pants because I never manage to keep my goals for whatever reason.
So when I came across this cute printable of 2025 Goals I just knew that was something I wanted to try. I printed it off and even though I still haven’t decided how I am going to display it, if at all I do know I am going to work on each of these for the new year. They are pretty simple and to be honest I also found a great January Checklist which I will be sharing in another post.
I want to come back and check in with this particular list throughout the year along with the monthly checklists that I am going to be sharing. That is why you will see the little graphic in the sidebar. It is for me to come back and update this as I accomplish things and to do a review of it at the end of the year. So, the things (in no particular order) on the list are:
- Strengthen Relationships
- Practice Self-Care
- Improve Physical Fitness
- Declutter Your Space
- Improve Financial Health
- Prioritize Mental Health
- Cultivate a Healthier Diet
- Adopt Sustainable Habits
- Attend More Cultural Events
- Volunteer Regularly
- Travel More
- Learn a New Skill
- Reconnect with Creativity
- Create More Personal Connections
- Be open to Change
- Practice Digital Detox
- Focus on Professional Development
- Stary a Side Project
- Support Small Businesses
- Develop Better Sleep Habits
- Reduce Screen Time
- Set Boundaries
- Embrace Lifelong Learning
- Practice Gratitude
There is one other thing I am going to add which could be a part of Professional Development and that is to get both blogs done the way I wanted finally. If you have been with me the last couple of months over on Storied Conversation then you know that is something I have begun working on. This is the year I will get that completed. No more half know what jobs. I am doing it.
My hope is to have Storied Conversation completed by the end of March. I didn’t set really tight schedules because I want to get it done but was certain to allow for life and other things. Once it is finished I will take a weekend and begin Rita Reviews. It will actually take a good portion of the year because there are far more posts and my current plan will be to have it completed by the end of December.
On the surface you will notice the changes and things will be running smoothly but I will be going through each and every article, updating some, updating all the images to new sizes, and checking links. It is time consuming, especially with the regular daily work.

I love your idea for new Years! I don’t do resolutions anymore and haven’t for years. Instead, I choose a word for the year. This year is CARE. I need to take (much) better care of myself, so I can care for my family.

I think that is such a great idea to write down your goals for the New Year. I don’t really have any yet, just trying to get by the day to day. I’m excitec to see your storied conversations blog.

Happy 2025, Rita! 🙂
I made worrying less & practicing selfcare my 2025 goals. I need to take care of me. My anxiety & mental health struggles were too much for me last year.
