This Christmas I have something special for Edgar. Actually it was for our anniversary, however I am more than certain that we will be using throughout Christmas and the New Year. It is called Hide A Heart. When I came across Hide A Heart I knew it was a company I just had to work with. You all know the year we have had and how we are working on getting ourselves back on track. It has not been easy and his affair has taken its toll on all of us. However we are more committed to each other now than when we were first married. one of the things we have been determined to do I to show and tell each other how much we love one another each and every day. Hide A Heart allows us to do just that in the most unique way.
From the Hide A Heart Website:
You may wonder about the motivation behind our product. Here is the very sweet ‘beginning’ story of how we decided to Hide A Heart® . Twenty-seven years ago my husband surprised me with a little red glass heart he had hidden for me to discover. I’m sure he was ‘in the dog house’ for one reason or another, a ‘house’ in which men can often find themselves. But, as you can imagine all was forgiven when I discovered the heart hidden among my lingerie! From that day on we have hidden the heart for one another as a ‘non-verbal’ expression of love. There have been times when the heart remained ‘hidden’ for months before being discovered. Or, I would remember I had not found it for a long while and would go through the house with a ‘fine tooth comb’. I had grown fond of those little ‘messages’. Over the years, the little heart became helpful when trying to say ‘sorry’ or ‘forgive me’ or ‘miss you’ or ‘good job’. Discovering the heart unexpectedly has proven to be a great facilitator for relationship building.
Finding ‘non-verbal’ means of communicating can be challenging for people in any relationship. Couples, parents, siblings, friends all struggle at times to find the ‘right’ words. What can often be difficult to express verbally can be expressed with Hide A Heart® and the opportunities to use Hide A Heart® are infinite!
TESTING Hide A Heart:
I received the XOXO Heart to review and when I received I knew I needed to find the best place to hide it for Edgar to find it. You all know that we are visiting family for the holidays before going and spending two weeks alone just to have that time together. So I found the perfect spot for the heart in his shaving kit. When he went to shave, there it was, telling him that I love him more than anything. Since that morning we each take turns hiding the heart somewhere everyday. I have found it in purse when I went shopping with my sister in-laws, he has found it inside his socks while he dressing. It’s a simple and easy way to say ” I love you and am thinking of you.” It has become a game for us. you know that it’s your turn to find it and you expect to find it but somethimes it’s the where you find it that means the most.
PROS of Hide A Heart:

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Amanda…I think it would be a wonderful heart for supporting in one another when going through a rough patch. Whoever receives it first can pass it on to the next person in Bible study in need a extra support. Great idea!
