Well today is day 25 in the Shaklee 180™ program and things are going okay. If you all remember I was selected as a Shaklee 180 Blogger along with some other wonderful women! For six months we will receive the Shaklee180 ™ Turnaround Kit to use while we lose weight. I was super excited when I got my first kit and like most people when you start a new diet full of vigor.
Then the reality of a diet set in and I had a few days of “this is never going to work!” You actually get a lot in the kit and if you stay tuned for my very first video during the program I will show you everything that comes in there. One thing I do want to make perfectly clear is that all the results and/or personal experience are my own and that just because I don’t like something or something worked wonderfully for me doesn’t mean you won’t like it or get the same results. I want to share with you all some of my before pictures along with my numbers. I am planning on posting my numbers every month and my final pictures at the end.
This first picture is my favorite tee, although I didn’t realize I looked this bad in it. I am sharing this photo with you because my hope is that when the program is over I look much better in the tee. I currently weigh 210 pounds. I have not weighed myself since I started the program because I don’t want to become a slave to the scale and I want to weigh in monthly. I will also be measuring myself. My current measurements are (in inches): Chest: 44 Arms: 16 Waist 43 Hips: 50 Thighs: 26.
As you can in my before picture I have a long way to go. that picture made me cry for twenty minutes! I am being sensible about it all and hoping to lose 20 pounds. Anything over that is more than wonderful but I don’t want to set myself up to fail by saying I am going to lose 50 pounds, lose 20 and then begin eating because I am depressed or feel like I failed. I also hope that I come away from all of this learning how to eat better. On the Shakelee 180™ program I have 2 shakes (or meal bars) a day, a healthy meal, and then 2 snacks.
All in all so far the best thing is that I remember to get up and exercise everyday. I am even going to participate in a walk/run soon. I am still working on finding the smoothie that works for me as with Shaklee 180™ smoothies you can add other ingredients such as fruit.
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support, and incentives for participating. My opinions are my 100% own. People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

You CAN do this hon!
Weight loss is hard to do after a certain age and stress makes it even harder. (being a mom, employee/at home businessperson, and home care taker is a lot of stress for all women) I have heard others say that meditation or simple yoga alone can help reduce your stress hormones that make you hold onto weight. Good luck to you! I am watching this company closely. I have a daughter who is working on her post baby and much stress weight. She needs simplicity right now as is also a full time student and employee. Simple is necessary for most and this program looks to be just that!
I always do better on simple ones too. Cooking special foods and meals that are complicated just makes people more worn out. I need a plan that just gets some food in me (shakes work) and take the obsession out of food use. Being on a “diet” makes me think MORE about food even more. I like simple shake meals because of this.

You are doing great! The most important thing is that you are trying. You are also getting some exercise. anytime you get up and get moving it’s a good thing. It’s not easy losing weight. I can always pack it on much faster then I can loose it. Keep the good work and have faith in yourself. We have faith in you. We know what a hard worker you are.

I hope everything works out for you. I pray God’s grace for you to maintain your diet and look back a month or two from now and be amazed by the results of your hard work.

One of the biggesst things iss you are exercising. Trust me, starving soesnt work and can actually make your body slow itself down. Get moving and stay moving.
Youre doing great!

I am following closely! I am starting about where you are, so I am thinking kind of the same thing–I’ll set my goal at a fairly realistic 20 lbs to lose. I also don’t want to weigh every day.

Good for you!! I know exactly how you feel, you know it just doesn’t seem like managing weight should be so difficult.

I think that you are doing good and I can see the difference. Moving around and exercising really works, but I know how hard it is to lose weight. I have a battle with it every day! Keep up the good work!

Hi there,
Great story, and you can do it!! I have seen some people achieve some amazing results with 180, and you can too! You are doing the right thing. Healthy weight loss will take time, but implementing exercise is a great way to expedite the process. Just keep your head up, and doing the right thing and that will lead to good habits. Good habits will lead to great things! I look forward to following this and watching you succeed!! Great job!
