Day 13 —The best things to happen to you this week. Okay this may seem so stupid but the best things that happen to me this week are of course the new design getting finished and uploaded but also this water leak. The reason is because through the nightmare that this is I have found an inner strength.
I have had to deal with this on my own because my hubby is working out of town. Which meant having to learn things about plumbing that I never thought I would need to know. Also learning how many pans of hot water it takes to fill a tub so it has been a bit of a challenge but I am actually glad because I feel good about the way I handled things.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I have always been surprised to learn what I can handle when I have to,what I can get along with or get done when I am alone to do it. It makes me feel stronger…and makes me appreciate my husband 🙂

I’m in training for a new job and it has been a steep learning curve. This week, I started to “get it” and it felt great!

The best thing that’s happen to me this week, going back to college and my dorm. I love my parents, but being on my own is so much better for me lol.

Yes, I have had to deal with things that come up on my own too. I find that when we are put in situations that we think that we can not handle, we come to find out that we can!
Betty Baez says
That’s great you handled it so well! I love the new design!
Eve says
I remember when we had a water leak years ago and I had no idea what to do. I used an old t shirt

I always feel good when I accomplish new things too, especially handyman things I never thought I could do! Congrats!

Good for you Rita! I found also found/find my biggest strengths when left to my own devices! My husband travels quite a bit and it is often difficult to run the show all these years alone. I used to find it the most fun when I’d do a project and he’d come home with “SURPRISE”! I grew up watching my dad do carpentry and auto work we could not pay to hire. I learned you CAN do a lot yourself. When I was a single mom, I learned to change my oil, do woodworking, run electrical lines and change out a garbage disposal, lay tile and pretty much anything I wanted to try. Now it’s even easier online with tutorials and all. If you have time you can find lots of talent and even save lots of money.
Your blog changes are SO awesome! Although I love the photos before too, I do really really love the color!
Best things for me this week was to go wedding shopping with my daughter and getting out of the house a bit!

Eileen,
Thanks! I am glad you like the changes. I feel like I have finally found my own “brand”.

Since I became single, I have had to learn a lot too, but I did it!

The best thing all week was being able to use my right hand more. The better is coming after surgery is over and done with.

I think it’s great that even though you were in a tough situation you turned it into a learning experience. Sometimes challenges show us how strong we really are. Good for you!!

The best thing for me this week, I just started using my treadmill again and I did about 45 minutes. I hope I have the energy and motivation to do it at least 5 times a week.
