30 Days of Me

Day 20 — A hobby of yours. I could say baking and cooking again but I my favorite hobby is photography. While I admit that I am nit very good and have been working at getting better I just find something so joyous when I look through the lens.

I never really took up photography until about a year or so ago and I search Pinterest all the time for new ideas. I haven’;t really done anything that I think is super fabulous but I have something planned for the next couple of weeks and will share them with you once I get them done. We are going to be traveling and I have all sorts of photo plans.

  2. I too LOVE photography, but my camera is not a very good one 🙁 i also love crafting with wood and fabric I could spend hours doing crafts!

  4. I like to play the sims as one hobby I suppose, I don’t know what people really mean when they say hobby. I liked doing a lot of things, but something that required me to further my skills like photography is something I’d really considered a hobby.

  5. Photography is one of my favorite things to dabble with too. In HS, I used to have a great slr camara I loved. I even worked ont he yearbook staff. My goal is go someday go back to photography again. Right now, I enjoy baking so much. I just made some chocolate chip cookies, and tomorrow I think I will go out and get some new baking sheets. I’ve been making due with what I have but I really need to get the right tools for the job!

  7. I know, the way a camera even works fascinates me! Then put in some great subjects like your child’s silly grin or a beautiful sunset…it is just crazy how you can keep that memory alive with a photo. I love looking at pictures on blogs, that is what drew me to blogs in the first place. There are some who are pro photographers and those who will not call themselves that, but really, with today’s gear ANYONE can take amazing pictures and it’s not all about the perfection of that paper, but the purity of the moment and what YOU see in that moment. I am pretty passionate about it, as it’s one thing I can still do. My daughter just got an SLR and she is taking some really great photos of her 1 year old who lives with us too. Much is about what you can learn about photography people will say, or how to edit…but to me the subject is the most important. My kids and grandkids are my heart when it comes to photographing:)

    I also love reading. Blog-reading. Gardening when I can. And my husband would say I am a professional converstionalist on the phone;)

  8. I love photography! I think I love baking and cooking more, though…at least that’s what I do more of. The best photos I’ve ever taken have been ones that were completely unexpected…I just happened to have a camera in my hand.

  9. My hobby would be doing crafts. I am one of those people who see’s something then tries to figure out how to make it. I love trying all different kinds of crafts.

I don’t know if this counts as a hobby but I love blogging, entering giveaways and love to chat with my Facebook girls we have a small community and we share all kinds of things like coupons, recipes or we just talk about anything we like. Most of us don’t know in person and we are from all around the country and that’s the best part because we have become all great friends and help each other in different ways :). Also I love photography and that is one of my dreams and hope one day I’m able to take some classes or something.

  11. I love taking pictures, especially of my kids. I have a pretty good sense of composition but I don’t have any technical knowledge. I’d love to learn more and have been thinking about taking a class!

  12. My hobby is knitting, so far I am only good at scarves, but I plan to work up to much more soon! I also want to crochet so i can make cute stuffed animals!
