How many of you have a child that requires a night light? I have two and I hate those things with such a passion. I am always on the look out for some sort of alternative and boy do I think I have found one. Now I will say that being a night light isn’t the purpose of the light I have come across but I think you will all agree that it will work wonderfully. Have you heard of 3DLIGHTFX? I had not either until the chance to do a review hit my email inbox.
I was sent the Captain American Shield 3D Deco Light and I will say that I was surprised how tough it was. I was expecting something that would fall apart pretty quickly mostly because it tends to happen more often than not with things like this. What I got was a very well put together piece of lighting. It is battery operated which means no wasting electricity. It takes 3 AAA batteries which are not included but very easy to install.
The screws that you need to mount the light on the wall are included but Sam was not having this put on his wall at all. He wanted it to sit on his nightstand so he could touch it easily. We went through four set of batteries with his playing so far but I can’t complain. I switch them to the rechargeable ones and we are good to go! The light is cool to the touch so he can grab it without begin burned.

There is also a wall decal that you can place behind the light so that it looks as though the shield has been embedded into the wall. We have panelled walls so decals never stick at all which didn’t matter for us anyway since Sam didn’t want it on the wall. All in all this is a great light and one that he loves. In fact I have ordered Mags one for Christmas as well because she loves Sam’s so much too.

Not long ago, my spouse decided he wanted to start using a night light in our bedroom. We’re using a small lamp that uses a Christmas-light type bulb, so it’s not too bright. I think the 3DLIGHTFX lights are pretty funny, although I don’t see any I’d particularly want in my bedroom. I do kinda like that Death Star light, though.
