Who even cares about getting the latest catwalk monstrosities when you’re too busy cooking healthy meals and tidying up after the kids? It’s hard enough running a household, so trying to keep up with the latest fashion trends doesn’t seem like a priority. The good news is that fashion for moms doesn’t have to mean Armani suits and Gucci sunglasses.
The summer and spring collection shows have all wrapped up, and the best thing about this year’s shows was the fact that the biggest hits of the catwalk are easy and simple to incorporate into your existing wardrobe. If you’re looking for clothing inspiration in 2019, whether for color advice or the best womens skirt to opt for, then here are the trends that won’t break the bank, and won’t distract you from your mom responsibilities.
Jewelers Choice
There’s nothing wrong with a little accessorizing, and jewelry is always fun to wear. Last year’s trends were all about monograms, but this year it’s nothing more than the alphabet. Single-letter jewelry was on every catwalk, and it’s a great way to add a touch of individuality to any outfit you already own. You don’t have to stick to jewelry either. Stick that letter anywhere, and you’ll feel as if you’re on the catwalk.
Mellow Yellow
There were two colors that really made catwalks explode this year. Pink was one of them, but it can be a challenge to make that work with what you already own. Instead, bright yellows are the color of choice for moms in 2019. Opt for yellow accessories to add a splash of color, or go all out and look for head-to-toe yellow outfits that will certainly make a statement on the school run.
The Return of Thongs
Nobody was expecting it, but yes… thongs are back. Whether you love them or hate them, the thong is a classic piece of clothing. Whether you’re heading to the beach or not, wearing a thong can be a low-key way to keep yourself feeling great.
Elegant Ensembles
The ladies suit is something that you will probably be hearing a lot about this year, as it was one of the key trends of this year’s collections. You can buy off the rack or mix and match for some real variation. Look at a basic blazer and then buy yourself a couple of colorful plus size skirts to mix and match with, and you have a wardrobe choice that’s quick and easy to throw on in the morning as you race to prepare your household for the day.
Shopping for a new skirt can be an interesting process. It is exciting to explore the many available styles. However, the prices of each skirt might be less exciting, especially if you are not sure how often you can actually wear the skirt you pick. The trick to successful skirt shopping is selecting a beautiful skirt that is also multi-functional. A skirt that is neither too short nor too long is ideal. Such a skirt can cross the line between formal and casual when you need it to. Picking a color or design that looks good in most situations, such as black, can also help you get the most use out of your new skirt. Simply swapping the accessories you wear with it can make it consistently look fresh and new.
Animal Magic
As much of a surprise as the thongs, animal print clothing and accessories had a strong presence this year, and you’ll see that reflected in the high street window displays before you know it. Whether it’s zebra, cheetah, or leopard prints that tickles your fancy, this is going to be something that summer will see a lot of. If you’re wary of this choice, start small. Choose some animal print accessories and do some trials before going for bigger items of clothing.
The best thing about fashion this year is that it all seems so easy to achieve. There’s no need to spend your holiday money on a new outfit, and it’s never been easier to buy the most popular of fashion trends at low prices. Check out your options, and you could be the best-dressed mom in the South.

Good to know, i’m not really a person that likes to wear animal print but I do have a pair of sox in pink with animal print on them, and I don’t mind pink either but not a huge fan of gold, silver or all natural wooding I prefer to wear, but thanks for these ideas.
