5 Minutes for God {Prayer Requests 8/25}

Aug 24, 2013 | Rita

5 Minutes for God

Everyday I am working more and more on taking at least 5 minutes at the beginning and end of everyday to spend some time with God. 5 minutes for God is not as hard as it sounds and I find that I actually spend more than 5 minutes. I do it while I am still in the bed in the mornings.

I set the clock and then spend a little time thanking God for the day that is laid out ahead of me and to please help me with anything that is difficult during the day. Then at the end of every day I crawl into bed and spend 5 minutes going over the day with God, talking about things I could have done differently, thanking him for the things that went right and asking for forgiveness for my mistakes. I also spend this time reading a little in my bible as I have discovered that is the time when I absorb it all better.

So this week as you leave your prayer requests and you are in need of God’s grace please make an effort to spend at least 5 minutes a day with God. Take that time to discuss with him anything you need or anything you are feeling. There is no wrong or right way to come to God. Yell if you need to, he can handle it and he understands.

    I should not need to be reminded that all things come in God’s time and not mine, but I feel that I do and that is my prayer request. Patience. Please prayer for me to have more patience and understanding that no matter how much and how hard and how long I pray for my recovery that it is in God’s hands and in God’s time. By His Stripes I Am Healed.

    I do have a prayer request this week. Please pray for my son who had surgery two weeks ago. He has been having some complications. we go to the doctor again on Monday. Pray that we won’t have to have another surgery. Thank you!

    I really like your 5 minutes for God idea. I usually do take time at the end of my day to have my talk with God. I don’t do it in the morning usually because some days my mornings start at 2am. I should be praying for help with my insomnia.
