Keeping Your Kitchen Clean in 5 Simple Steps
Approach cleaning your kitchen like a strategic endeavor. You should visualize the kitchen as a diagram with each section as a target area for you to clean. Clean each section separately, carefully, and methodically. Here are five steps to clean your kitchen from top to bottom.
Dust
The first thing you need to do is dust absolutely everything in your kitchen. You need to first dust the exterior of the kitchen, such as the sink, the surfaces, the handles of the cabinets, the outside of the fridge, the outside of the stove, and the stovetop. After this, you need to open up the cabinets and dust off all of the shelves. This will require you to remove every object from the inside of the shelf.
You will take all of the objects off of the shelf and put them carefully in cardboard boxes, putting each shelf’s worth of items in a separate cardboard box. You can then place the cardboard boxes on the floor, out of the way so that no one will trip upon them. Once you have removed all of the items from the shelves, you can then dust off the shelves.
Wash
You will then need to take a clean rag with a little cleaner. You should make sure that the rag is sufficiently wet. You will then need to spray clean the outside of your grey kitchen cabinets, the outside of the stove, the stovetop, the countertops, the outside of the fridge, and the cabinet handles just like you did when you were dusting them. You will also need to spray down and wipe down the shelves on the inside of the cabinet.
Sanitize
Next, you need to sanitize all the surfaces. This means that you need to take a clean rag and spray it down until it is completely wet with a sanitizer solution. You are able to use a bleach dilution if you like or you can use an actual sanitizer that you purchase at the store. You will take this rag and you will wipe down all of the exterior surfaces that you wipe down with spray cleaner and you will also sufficiently wipe down the shelves. Make sure to sufficiently spray the sink with sanitizer and wipe it down with the sanitizer rag.
Put Products Back on Shelf
You need to put all the products that you put in the cardboard boxes back on the shelves in the proper places from which you remove them. Remember, each cardboard box is filled with the contents of one individual shelf. This means that you should take the cardboard box and empty the contents of it one by one placing them back onto the shelf from which they came.
You need to make sure that you do this in an organized manner so that you are always placing the same items on the same shelf. You don’t want to have to rethink where you’re getting each item from each shelf every time you clean the kitchen.
Clean the Oven
You will need to clean the inside of the oven with an oven cleaner. This involves taking a scouring brush or metal scrubber and scrubbing off all of the grit from the inside of the oven. You should make sure to wear thick plastic gloves when you do this, the kind that you use to wash dishes. This is so that you don’t get any of the cleaner for the oven on your hands and also so that you don’t get any of the grease from the oven on your hands.
Viola
You should now have an absolutely clean kitchen. This should bring you great satisfaction because you will be able to cook and enjoy eating in a superb environment. Should you repeat this process every single week, you are bound to have a hygienic and perfect kitchen. Make sure that you always take each step with care so that you can maintain the kitchen you cook in. It is not so difficult once you see the wonderful results that this process yields.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
