7 Music Festivals You Need To Experience At Least Once

May 25, 2018 | Rita

Thousands of music festivals take place across the world every year. If you want to narrow down your search to experience a truly unique event, here are seven music festivals you need to experience at least once in your life.

  1. Tomorrowland, Belgium

Head over to Boom in Belgium this year to attend Tomorrowland, which is the largest electronic dance music festival on the planet. 400,000 people reportedly attended the event back in 2014 to experience the music and atmosphere in this vibrant city. Expect jaw-dropping visuals, an impressive lineup of acts and, of course, exceptional dance music.

  1. Burning Man, United States

Make your way to the Nevada desert this August/September for the week-long Burning Man Festival. 65,000 people annually attend the US music festival to absorb the many art installations, colorful camp themes, and atmospheric music. Of course, the event will not be complete until the burning of a 40-foot wooden man, hence the name.

  1. Austin City Limits, Texas

If you’re looking for a festival outside of summer, grab tickets to Austin City Limits for this October. The festival gets its name from the famous PBS series, and it is annually held on the Colorado River banks in Zilker Park. It also welcomes some of the biggest names in the music industry. For instance, the 2018 lineup will feature performances from Paul McCartney, Arctic Monkeys, Shawn Mendes, Khalid, Camilla Cabello, and Hozier, to name just a few. Secure your accommodation by finding out about the best ACL Festival vacation rentals.

  1. Glastonbury, England

The five-day Glastonbury festival dates back to the 1970s, and has been offering an impressive lineup ever since. The festival is well-known for only featuring cutting-edge artists, as some of the most famous acts in the world have taken to the famous Pyramid Stage, such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, and The Rolling Stones. In addition to unforgettable music, you can experience theater, comedy, circus, and cabaret acts.

  1. The Full Moon Party, Thailand

How does a festival filled with amazing music and glowing paint sound? Pretty amazing, right? If so, you must experience Thailand’s Full Moon Party at least once in your lifetime, as it’s held on a beautiful island every month throughout the year. Whatever your music taste, you will not be bored, as the event offers everything from reggae to drum and bass.

  1. Sunburn, India

If you want to blend exceptional music with shopping, food and entertainment, secure tickets to Sunburn Festival in Pune as soon as humanly possible. Originally popular with locals, the festival of culture is gaining the attention of music lovers from across the globe, and it is now Asia’s largest music festival.

  1. Ultra Music Festival, United States

Ultra Music Festival started in Miami back in 1999, but has since branched out to eleven countries. It is one of the most popular electronic music festivals in the world, as it offers an exceptional production. Expect to experience music from the planet’s finest DJs, which is complemented by spring sunshine and electric house, bass, underground techno music.
