When my husband and I were preparing to have our first baby 21 years ago, we took a childbirth class. I also read every book I could about pregnancy and delivery. Somehow c-sections were barely mentioned., so when I needed an emergency c-section after 16 hours of labor, it came as a shock. I think pregnant women need to be prepared for the possibility of a c-section.
