Time to decorate the house for the holidays! Most people have already done that and there are a few that are still working on it. We kept things pretty simple this year only putting up a tree and a very beautiful wreath that the wonderful folks over at Hilltop Christmas Trees sent us. Of course I didn’t put mine right on the screen door because they tend to fall off or get knocked off whenever I do that and to be honest I wanted to put it on the back porch but Ma said she would put coal in my stocking me if I did.
The Balsam wreath + bow I received was 24″ with multi-color tartan which is their smaller one but trust me when I say it doesn’t take anything away from the beauty of this wreath. This is an actual wreath and simply stunning. I have never had a real wreath before in my life and I can promise you now that I have I am never going back to the old fake ones. They are poor substitutes as far as I am concerned now.
My only complaint was that there was not loop or anything to hang it with or if there was I couldn’t find it. I did look but will admit I was pretty excited to get it done and didn’t look as well as I should have. Ma simply tied a string to it and told me to go hang it which I did. The ribbon is tartan ribbon, although you do get your choice of ribbons, which I love. It has that sort of Scottish feel and you all know how I feel about that. All in all this is a beautiful wreath that has added to my home’s ambiance this holiday season.
Do you put out a wreath at all? Where do you put it and what kind do you use?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

That wreath is really pretty! For the last few years, the only holiday decorating I’ve done at all is to hang a wreath near the front door. We hang it off the flag mount. I love the scent and beauty of natural balsam wreaths.
You can pick up a wreath hanger for a dollar or two. It’s a gizmo that hooks over the top of the door, with a hook shape at the other end that you set the wreath on. Our front door won’t close with the hanger on, which is why we don’t use one.

My sister sends the family a wreath every year from Maine..wow so lush and beautiful..there’s no comparing a real to a fake one.

I love how full the wreath is plus the fact you can pick the ribbon you want.

That is a gorgeous wreath. I have never had a live wreath.

I love having a fresh wreath. I always hang it in the house so it adds to the lovely smell. We put our tree in the family room so the kitchen and living room really don’t get the scent. With a wreath I can spread it throughout the house.
