A Conversation With God for Women: If You Could Ask Any Question, What Would It Be? By: Marcia Ford is one of those rare books that really speaks to you. The book deals with questions such as “If you love us, why do we suffer?”, “What is your purpose for me, here and now?”, as well as many others. Each question is answered as though God or Jesus or whoever is actually answering the question that is ask.
At first glance I thought who in the world does Marcia Ford think she is? How can she even begin to think she can answer for God in any way? I was intrigued enough to read the book though. As I began reading it I realized that Ms. Ford answers each question in a way that (1) doesn’t impose her beliefs onto you, and (2) that really makes you think god is talking to you. I was informed in a way that wasn’t “preachy”. That’s really important to me. As I am currently on my own journey of faith I feel that I want to find God in my own way and time.
A Conversation With God for Women really helped me find answers to many questions that I have had. There are so many things that as women we would love to ask God, but the reality is we can’t just sit down and have coffee with him. This book allows us to do just that. Ms. Ford has allowed us to have that coffee with God.
I loved this book so much that I passed it on to my sister in-law to read and told her to pass it on to another woman when she was done. She called me off and on through out reading the book and we have truly had some deep conversations. We have really reevaluated the things that we thought and have come out of reading A Conversation With God for Women stronger and better rounded women.
