App Review: Space Settlers

Space Settlers app for the iOS is a multi-player Sci-Fi game that features both mecha combat and real-time strategy. The storyline of this game  is what really makes it stand out from some of the  other games I have tried out lately. It begins by telling you the story of how Scientist Hawking (a nod to Stephen Hawking?) linked his brain with the most powerful computer in the world. Hawking proved that the God particle (which was previously captured) could be dated back 13 billion years and the Time Gate opens for humans.  Hawking also predicted a dark energy in the form of crystal which he named “Dark Energy Crystal”.

There is much more to the storyline but you get it all in the game which is actually super easy considering I am the most in-adept gamer ever. You begin by setting up your fortress and start playing the game. Once things are set up and you begin playing the multi-player battlefield you are able to drive chariots, launch attacks, visit different planets and much more.

I must say that I was very impressed with colors, look, and feel of this game. I actually had a really great time playing this much more than another game I recently had to play everyday while we were away. This is one that I am actually good at. You can download Space Settlers on iTunes for free.
