Apples to Apples from JCPenney

If there is one thing that JCPenney knows it is gift giving. If you follow me on Instagram then you no doubt saw the post a few weeks ago where I shared that JCP had sent me a box of items. Those items are for my gift guide and I will be sharing them with you  over the course of the next week or so. First up though is the game Apples to Apples.

I had never played this game but I did know about it. I had heard about it first in a book series by Lani Lynn Vale. She had a group of characters that love to play this game and some of their answers are super funny. So I to say I was intrigued is an understatement.  This is Mattel’s 15th Appleversary Edition of Apples to Apples and it is the game that adults will love.

Yes, we love games too! I am hoping to get a chance to play this with some friends this week too. It is also under $50 which makes the perfect gift for the holiday season. Even if you don’t get it as a gift I suggest you consider it for one of your get togethers this holiday season.  To celebrate their 15th birthday Apples to Apples, the Appleversary Edition comes in a black box with some fancy gold foil. It has fresh content and exclusive scoring golden tokens.

It is the same game just a special look! Did you know Mattel has sold more than 15 million copies of this game? That is crazy! Playing is super easy, you just play the black card in your hand that best matches the white card the judge has. The judge selects the player whose card best matches and if it is yours you win that round. You can have four to eight players and it is for ages 12 and up. Now if you play with all adults you can get some pretty suggestive answers so be prepared for that. Remember the characters I told you about?
