The first app is To the Farm! which is a multilingual app that is great! It has six different languages available which include; English, Spanish, French, German, Catalan, and Mandarin. The app is really cute and I love that there are 5 modes to read the ebooks in. Even though To the Farm! is suggested for ages 0-5 it really is more of where your child is at as opposed to an age thing. If your 2 year reads better than a 5 year then this will be perfect but if your 5 years reads like a 10 year old this may be a bit young for them.
My other favorite thing is that when the kids try to spell the word the letter is faint so they can actually spell it. The sentence portion is great because your child tries to read it but when they tap it, it is actually read out to them. This is the perfect app for a child who is learning to spell or read but to be honest I think it is even more perfect for children (or adults) who are learning another language. This handy little app, which only costs $1.99, is great for learning how to spell words in other languages but also how they sound.
The next app is Sarah little fairy and grandma and it is just as great as the first! This app is $2.99 and designed for children ages 5-9. Again this is really more of a where your child is at app as opposed to the age thing. Like To the Farm!, this eBook app comes in a choice of several languages (English, Spanish, French, German & Catalan). This is much more like a story which can be listened to with much more to offer. the subject matter for this eBook is Alzheimer’s which I think is great because it helps children learn what their grandparents may be going through and helps them understand.
I really liked interactive options, like being able to draw the curtains at the window and tidy the scattered toys back in the toy box. There are also games, animation and music, as well as an option to add a photo of your child. Again I think this is perfect for children who are learning other languages but to be honest the fact that it deals with Alzheimer’s disease is what really make s it a winner in my book.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

It’s good to find out about apps that are safe, educational and fun for your child. There are SO many out there you don’t knoe where to start, so getting good reccommendations like this is a great help.

I really like the app that is different languages- teaching young children a 2nd or a 3rd language is much easier when it is fun and they start young!
