Earlier today I read over the Army of Ants Infographic (shown down below) and there were several things about ants that I didn’t even know. I am thankful to Moxie Pest Control for the information. In fact I know look at ants a bit differently and have a little thread of appreciation (I will explain.)
That appreciation comes from learning that ants can carry 20 to 50 times their weight. WOW! That is really a lot of weight if you think about because they only weigh 0.004 grams. Can you imagine that? I also didn’t know that ants fight to the death although I will admit that there really isn’t a fight with me. I don’t fight fair, I see ants I go get the ant spray and take care of that.
I do wonder though if queens have wings that they lose when they start a new nest do they grow new ones when they have to move to a new nest? It is just a thought but sounds like a great question doesn’t it? also the fact that they don’t have lungs but still breathe oxygen is just plain old weird! I mean that just sounds so freaky doesn’t it or I am just being crazy? Like I said the infrographic is full of great facts that I didn’t know and I hope that you will enjoy it as well. Check it below and a HUGE thanks to Moxie Pest Control for providing the infographic.

Bugs freak me out! I just read that there’s going to be a swarm of cicadas coming to the East Coast and I’m already having nightmares.

Ants make my skin crawl when ever I see them but, this is some interesting read about them. I honestly did not know any of these facts. Thanks for sharing (never to late for me to learn)

They may be strong, but they still drive me crazy. You know when you see one there are a thousand hiding somewhere else. They always make me want to scrub my house from top to bottom.

The infographic is great ~ would be great for kids too! But while I am amazed at the little things, I can’t stand them! Here we have so many fire ants and sugar ants during the warm weather that’s it’s all we can do to stop an invasion. I get bit every year, numerous times.

Interesting facts that I did not know about ants. I do not like them in the house. I wonder why I am having ants in my bedroom this year. I put down ant traps. But I have not seen any in the kitchen this year. Ants, stay out!
