August BTS Giveaway Hop

Aug 04, 2020 | Rita

It is almost time to head back to school and as such I have an amazing hop for you thanks to The Mommy Island,  The Kids Did It, and Zombie Parenting. I know that y’all will enjoy it. How are you doing school this year? Here we were given a choice and I’m gonna be honest we are going the online route. I have senior citizens and a special needs child that is more susceptible to contracting Covid-19 to send the others to school.

My brothers are both doing online school for their kids as well. I have no idea what school supplies we are actually going to need this year yet. School starts here in another week or so which means we are coming down to the wire. Of course, we have enough supplies to get things started. I will say that it does seem weird not to be rushing around buying school supplies right now.

My youngest daughter decided to do her junior year all online. We just got her some comfy clothes and a rocketbook notebook for her to do her assignments on. My oldest daughter is starting her junior year in college. She will be taking actual classes online but she officially starts nursing school this year so she has to go in 3 days a week for clinicals. The school is providing them with enough surgical masks to to be able to work with patients and then cloth masks for labs. It’s truly going to be different for everyone this year.

This year is kinda big for back to school as everyone is heading to school for the first time ever. Both my kids are doing inperson learning so we have supplies & masks labeled and practiced wearing. My husband is a middle school teacher & has to teach online and later inperson/online. I am going back to work teaching part-time in person& have to get myself ready for being in a classroom again (a first in 8yrs after being a stay at home mom). My first day is actually tomorrow and I’ve have been rummaging through my closet trying to figure out what professional clothes still fit and what I need to get. Imagine that, 8 years & I need bigger pants! lol. Those babies widened these hips! lol
