It is that time again! School started back here today and I know that many of you across the country are headed back there if not this week but over the course of the next few weeks. As we all get ready to head back to school it is also time to start buying supplies and stocking up. Not just for school but for all of those events and all of the holidays that will be upon us before we know it. It seems just like yesterday that the first of January was here but now the year is more than half way over.
Nikon – Coolpix L830 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera
I knew when I began planning a series of giveaways that I would be including a camera. Let’s face you need one to take pictures of everything that your child(ren) will be taking part in this school year. This is an awesome camera and is my favorite of the ones that I have! It is available in black or plum and the winner will get to select his or her own color. I really love the Smart photo option because the camera takes care of the setup for me. Here are a few features:
- 16.0-megapixel, 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor: Captures high-resolution images up to 4608 x 3456 pixels.
- Scene modes: Include beach, dusk/dawn, fireworks show, food, landscape, museum, night landscape, night portrait, party/indoor, portrait, snow, sports, sunset, 3D photography and more to accommodate a range of shooting scenarios and environments.
- Burst mode: Captures up to 8 fps, so you can capture dynamic, fast-motion action in crisp detail.
- White balance modes: Include auto, cloudy, daylight, flash, fluorescent, incandescent and preset manual to help you achieve natural tones under a wide variety of lighting conditions.
- TTL (through-the-lens) auto flash: With monitor preflashes delivers efficient illumination, so you can take properly lit shots. Red-eye flash mode promotes natural-looking eyes in portraits.

What an incredible camera. We only ever use our phones, this would be great to take some excellent quality pictures.
Michelle Cannon says
We could REALLY use this for documenting nature studies and field trips!

I had a coolpix camera that I loved until it got sand inside it at the beach, and also became out of date in terms of resolution, so I would love to have this one for my Connor to use for school projects.
