  1. I love grilling for many reasons, mainly because it makes the food taste so much better. Also saves on lots of messes in the kitchen, have to love that. And I personally think the kettle grills make food taste even better than the gas grills…so much flavor

  2. We love grilling in the summer because nothing tastes better then food fresh off the grill. Plus we can get outside and enjoy the weather and each others company!

  4. I am trying my best to lose weight. Grilling food is so much healthier and allows you to get lots of flavor without all the oil and grease. I also love the way grilling lets families get together outside and spend time together. Oh! And don’t forget the smell of stuff cooking on the grill! YUM! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

  14. We love grilling because it doesn’t heat up the kitchen. We are part of a CSA again this summer so grilling out goes nicely with all of the fresh fruits and veggies that we get through that. Plus there is less clean up too!

  39. I love grilling in the summer since I have such good memories of grilling as a kid. We would have the grill out by the pool when I was growing up. My folks would often have people over to eat grilled food. My husband grills vegetables and potatoes which I really enjoy.

  50. We live in the southeast so grilling is a year round thing, except during the rainy season. But we love to grill to try out different rubs and sauces plus different cooking techniques.

  51. The main reason I love grilling is that my husband does it, which takes a load off of me. Another reason is that he is a wonderful cook- he loves to experiment with new and different foods. In my defense, I do all the cleaning up after him!

  54. I think it’s healthier to grill our meats and it gives my husband the job of cooking at least the meat. He loves to get out and look important. LOL.

Of course, I have to plan the meal, buy the ingredients, marinate the meat, and prepare all the sides. However, this is still the closest I get to “not cooking”. Besides, grilled chicken breasts is among an elite group of foods that all of my children will eat.

  76. I love grilling in the summer for several reasons. First off, my apartment can get very hot in the summer, so cooking outdoors doesn’t heat up my apartment! When it is already 105 degrees out, I really don’t want to turn on my oven or stove and make it 150 degrees in the kitchen.   81. Around here, we don’t do much grilling in the summer – it’s just way too hot (100+ temps). When we do, I love the smells and there’s nothing like hotdogs, hamburgers, fajitas, etc cooked over some good mesquite!

  83. My favorite thing about summer grilling is the clean up. IT’s always a lot easier to clean up for a family after bbq verses cooking on the stove!

  96. My husband does the grilling, I’ve never grilled in my life, lol. He’s pretty good at it. I like not having to worry about messing up the stove, and he can make a mean stack of ribs! He likes doing hot dogs and burgers on the grill for him and our daughter when I’m at work.

  98. We grill many times over the summer and in the winter here in Ga. As I’m typing, our grill is sitting kittywonkus, a wheel missing and the bottom is rusted out and missing. My husband has replaced that bottom plate with a board so the tank can rest on it. It’s a mess! I would desperately love a new grill!

  113. I like to grill for several reasons. The best is no dirty dishes and also sometimes my husband takes over so it can be ” grilled the right way” what a dummy! 🙂

  150. My husband had a heart attack last Fall, and yet we still enjoy grilling, but with a different set of heart healthy recipes. We even enjoy grilling pineapple, we do so year round.

  167. I love it when my husband grills out because I can usually have him grill enough meat for several meals at once. This really helps cut down on prep time for other meals for a few days – plus it tastes better since he’s doing the cooking. lol 🙂

  169. Well, for one, meat tastes incredible when it’s cooked on the grill. Secondly, usually when the grill comes out, that means company is coming over and nothing is more fun than a mini party around the grill 🙂

  170. I like the way that the food tastes. I like to be outside, I like the smell of the meat cooking, and I like the way the food tastes when it’s cooked correctly on a grill. It also makes cooking dinner more like a picnic than a chore. It’s also a bonus if hubby helps (which he NEVER does in the kitchen … so I dont have to do all of the work prepping the food! I also like that you can grill nearly ANYTHING on a grill! Our favorite thing to grill is Coca-Cola Steaks!!!!

    Coca-Cola Steaks

    Ingredients:

    1 can of Coke

    ¼ cup of brown vinegar

    Salt and pepper

    1 steak of Scotch Fillet

    1 cup of tomato sauce

    1 medium onion

    3 crushed cloves of garlic

    ¼ cup of Worcestershire sauce

    Method:

    Mix all the ingredients in a shallow plate or bowl. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 50 to 60 minutes. Barbecue the steak as long as you like. Boil marinade in a pan or pot until thickened slightly and then serve it with the steak.

  196. I love to grill because it is a low fat way of cooking, also it keeps the house cooler to cook outdoors and it is fun for all family members to get involve in preparing the meals and to eat outdoors

  197. My husband is a grill master so it takes a while for him to get everything perfect. The kids and I love going outside with him, we let them ride bikes and play, and hubby and I just talk while he grills. It’s so nice!
