We love getting toys for boys are here! The boys are left out a lot and so anytime we get a chance to do something for them we jump on it. We were sent the new Battroborg Warrior Battle Arena Set to try out for our review. It is currently available at Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target with an MSRP of $69.99. Play is fairly simple in that you operate battling robots with wireless controllers and try to knock each other down inside the included arena.
Sounds simple enough, right? Well it is and it isn’t! Our set included the Samurai Kanesada vs Ninja Raiden which are wireless motion control battling robots, a battle arena, snap-on weapons and armor which is interchangeable, and two single handed “katana controllers.” Each controller takes four AA batteries to operate (not included), and you recharge the robots for about 20 minutes of game play by plugging the controllers into their backs. The set is recommended for ages 6+ and I must tell you that Daniel loved this as did my uncle. They have been playing together for a few days and I have gone through more batteries that I am happy with but as long as they are contented, oh well.
I said that it was easy and not right? Well there are special and much more accurate moves controlled by a power move button plus specific motions, with instructions on the Battroborg site but you can just simply play away the way the boys in my house does. They don’t care about special moves and whenever one of them accidently figures one out they get so excited.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Robots battling in an arena – who wouldn’t love that? I kind of want to play with it, and I’m an adult (so you know the kids will love it).

My boys love robots, and would like that they can change up their armor. They like video games, and would enjoy that these are real, but played with controllers.
