How many times has this happened to you? You’re out with the kids and someone gets hurt. You need a bandage and spend forty minutes digging around for one. It has happened so many times. I normally try to keep a little baggie of bandages and such but somehow I always forget to refill it. That is where PreparaKit comes in.
PreparaKit is a First Aid Kit company that has everything you need when you need it. They offer several different ones and you can even use your HSA/FSA medical plan to purchase any of their First Aid Kits right from their site!
We were lucky enough to receive a Take Along First Aid Kid in their Kid Joy pattern. There are other patterns available. I love how bright some of the colors are on this one. It makes it easy to see it when it is in my purse.
As you can see the who kit is small at 3.75″ x 1.75″ x 5.5″. It is the perfect size for handbags and more.
As you can see the kid rolls out and has an assortment of items. It comes with the following items:
- 6 – Bandages (Character) 3/4″x3″
- 6 – Bandages (Fabric) 3/4″x3″
- 6 – Bandages (Fabric) 1″x3″
- 2 – Bandages Knee/Elbow (Fabric)
- 2 – Finger Care (Fabric)
- 1- Non Adherent Gauze 2″x3″
- 1 – Non Adherent Gauze 3″x4″
- 2 – Hydrocortisone Creme Packets
- 2 – Triple Antibiotic Ointment Packets
- 2 – First Aid/Burn Cream Packets
- 1 – Tape 1/2″x2.5yds

- 2 – Anti-Septic Wipes (Alcohol Free)
- 2 – Antibacterial Wipes
- 2 – Thermometer Strips (Disposable)
- 1 – Tweezer (Metal)
- 1 – Scissor
- 1 – Nail Clipper
- 2 – Safety Pins
- 2 – Sheets of Assorted Stickers
That is a lot of items to pack into one small kit. Each section is organized so well.
I never thought about carrying tape and scissors with me before but now that I have them I am glad. I am sure there will be a time that I will need them.
It velcros together to keep everything nice and together. I haven’t had any problem with it holding together either.
It fits nicely in the side pocket of my purse. I have it sticking up for the picture. I can push it all the way down in there and you won’t even see it.
I wanted to show how little room it takes up when it is inside my purse. I have it int here along with my wallet, a cosmetic bag, and plenty of other items.
I can also use it in my diaper bag as well as my senior bag. Let me tell you that those senior citizens sometimes use more bandages than the kids. It’s true!
I am sure that my PrepaKit is going to come in handy so often. So far the only thing I’ve had to use out of it is the burn cream when I burned my hand. Of course then I broke my arm five minutes later so maybe I should have waited. You can also register your kit to stay up to date on expiration dates, newsletters, and much more.
This is a kit that I am more than certain y’all will see a lot. It is the perfect kit to take with me anywhere. It fits so nicely into most of my bags and I am sure it will be a must have in my pool bag this summer.

What a great idea! For kids…Pair that with one of the Red Cross Pillowcase program emergency preparedness kit so that they have the ability to help during an emergency as well. The more knowledge they have, the less fear in the face of the chaos.

We go on family bike rides, which is where we would get the most use out of it. The Sports first aid kid would be the best for that.

I love the sports pack, with nine grandchildren and most in different types of sports, one always has to be prepared with supplies, these would definitely help out.

I like the Take Along First Aid Kit – Fun Bubble Creme. Glad that the products are latex-free since I’m allergic to latex. I can’t believe how many useful things they get in such a small package.
