Have you ever given the answer “Because God Said so” to your children. I know I have. It’s the got to answer for everything when nothing else will satisfy their little minds. Well I watched my sister in-law give that very answer recently and thought to myself “What I would give to accept that again.” Children believe without question. When we tell them that God did this or said that they simply accept that it happened.
Children accept things because they are not jaded by the world. They do not yet know to challenge any thought. As adults we challenge and question everything. While I would love to never challenge anything, it is simply not possible for several reasons. First it is human nature to question and challenge the world we live it. Secondly it helps us grow and learn as people. Finally it can, at times, keep us safe. If someone told you to get into the car you would question or challenge their motives.
Why do we question God though? Why is it we simply cannot accept that he his and he does?
While I know that I may never know the answer to all of those questions I am becoming more and more comfortable allowing God to provide the answers to my most burning questions, without any input for me.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
