If you don’t know already, let me tell you I am an avid tea drinker. I began drinking hot tea in the mornings when my doctor told me I needed to give up coffee. I don’t have it every morning but I do enjoy it most mornings. That is why when I was asked to checked out the BELANKO Tea Kettle I was excited. Anything that looked as amazing as this did in the pictures had to be good.
The BELANKO Tea Kettle is made from professional food grade material as well as 18/8 stainless steel. That means it is made to work and work well. It does work really well let me tell you. I love the gradient pink diamond design as well. It is sophisticated but understated.
The kettle has a generous pour spout and it whistles when the water is ready. The best part about this is the whistle is loud enough that I can hear from the other room. That means I don’t have to worry about the kids hearing it and running at it without me hearing it as well. You simply push the button on the underside of the handle (shown below) to open the spout.
The handle is made with a silicone-coated material that keeps you from being burned when you grab it. I love that because I have had some in the past that had a metal handle. It looked pretty but when it got hot it burned the crap out of my hand. This one is much better. The button that you see on the top pops up when the spout is open. You press it and the spout closes.
The lid is also made from the same silicone-coated material as the handle. It has that same wood look to it that really ties everything in together. It is easy to lift and close. It doesn’t pop off or anything either.
BUY THE KETTLE
The is simply amazing in my opinion. I could not be happier with it and I will certainly be using it for many years to come. That is if I can keep my mother away from it. She thinks it is far to pretty for me to be using and I should just put it up on display. I don’t know what to say about that but there you go.

The Tea Kettle, 2.7 Quart BELANKO Teapot for Stovetops Wood Pattern Handle with Loud Whistle Food Grade Stainless Steel as sold on Amazon is great….for the first few months. I’ve had mine 6 months, and can no longer use it (I laughed when I saw a comment about using it for many years to come). Because it sits on our stove, it collects “stove grime”, spatters, etc, which become baked onto the kettle when it’s used. The kettle _cannot_ be cleaned with an abrasive or chemicals because it will remove the finish, which is lovely when new.
But even worse is that the kettle is developing rust spots on the inside bottom. “Food Grade Stainless Steel”? I doubt it would rust if it were. I’ve posted photos on Amazon, where I purchased the kettle. The kettle still whistles though, if you don’t mind your boiled water from a rusty kettle with a filthy exterior.
I wonder how many of the earlier reviews were written soon after purchase?
Worst of all, there does not appear to be a corporate entity such as “Belanko” with which to complain to, or if there is, they have no presence on the internet.
