From coolers to coffee mugs, pretty much any useful items can be turned into a promotional products Montreal marketing technique. Promotional items, unlike other marketing methods, are cost effective and offer versatility as well as definitive value for consumers.
Benefits of Promotional Products
Increased Brand Recognition
Often, a business’s goal whether big or small, is typically brand recognition. What ways can you make your company brand not just stand out from competitors, but also stay in the consumers’ minds, both existing and potential? That is easy. You can get creative with your advertising. A simple tool that helps in increasing brand recognition is promotional products. This is because you are able to customize an item that a consumer will use each day with your business logo which will keep your company in their mind all the time.
Reminder Marketing
A custom business logo product like branded lanyards will typically include the company’s phone, fax, name and website address. Each of these is essential components that a marketer should keep close at hand. Some might say that business cards are just as effective; however, business cards are usually not kept in view. The real estate agent or local plumber can, for example, imprint a business card magnet with their company logo which will be displayed every day on consumers’ refrigerators. The potential user of their services will now have their business card in front of them every day which will display the phone number and make it more convenient for them to call their services when it comes time.
Effective Impact
Promotional products have a tremendous impact because of their nature of presentation. While many people will skip over advertisements in a magazine or press the fast forward button on TV advertising (thanks to DVR and TIVO recording technology), promotional products that have your company logo on them grab more attention due to them being more of a conversational item than other marketing mediums.
Choosing the Right Promotional Products
Employees usually appreciate items like company apparel since they are able to wear it in the workplace every day. Excellent employee gifts or incentives could include quality polo shirts that have the business logo on them.
Consumers as well as other B2B interactions appreciate office products like paperweights, pens or wall calendars.
While at events or trade shows, gadgets such as stress balls, chains or luggage tags that are personalized make good giveaways. High-end gifts such as travel mugs or branded portfolios will have you standing out from the crowd.
Special outdoor events like picnics, golf tournaments or races make great opportunities to hand out customized visors, t-shirts, golf tees, Frisbees, sunscreen, drink cozies and more.

I hadn’t thought of promotional items like this before. I’ve been to conferences and picked up some of these things but didn’t think of the “decision” and “reasoning” behind the choices.

I like to get promotional items with cool logos. I love tote bags, pens, cups—things I use around the house. And they work to keep the company’s logo familiar.

My favorite promo ad items are magnets for home and pens. At home we all know most people have pics or artwork on the fridges or doors. (we use our kitchen to garage steel exit door for our “forgetmenots” like calendars and invites, etc. Other people really see these and will comment on pics, then see the advertisements. The other I love are pens. Always in your purse so you can never forget the company name when you are out and about.
