I don’t know about all of you but I saw these lights on television not long ago that changed colored and did all sorts of things. It was on one of the morning new programs, I can’t remember which one. Anyway I remember thinking how cool those were and I would love to try them out then luckily enough Best Buy let me know that they carried them and well here we are today getting connected! I was super excited!!
Philips hue allows you to experience a world new world of home lighting and mood so to speak! Using the bulbs, accessory lights and bridge along with your Wi-Fi and you can create mood lighting for any setting that you are wanting to have. We played like you would believe until we found the colors and such that we like. Although I will say that baby brother has tons of remarks to make about the red color when we trying it out but hey that’s what little brothers are for!
The Philips hue White and Color Ambiance Starter kit is very easy to get up and running! It took me just a few minutes because I had to download the app. It works with Apple HomeKit (iOS users) so you can control your lights with Siri voice control on your iPhone but I just download the hue app and use it. It allows us to maintain an automatic schedule which I know is going to come in handy when we are away. The A19 bulbs have been upgraded from 600 to 800 lumens which means you get brighter light and we love that!
The hue Go is a portable and completely wire free smart light that offers a lot of versatility. In fact for us it has replaced the old night light in the twins room! It can plug it in and has up to 3 hours of rechargeable battery life which is perfect. It is not waterproof but it is designed to withstand high humidity and can work with the on/off switch on the light, or via the hue app (hue bridge required.) This is the one light that I actually have to put on a high shelf each mornng because the kids love it! They can easily change the color and do so as often has they can.
The Netgear® Nighthawk™ DST Router and DST Adapter with Geek Squad included is new and exclusively at Best Buy which makes me love it all the more! If you didn’t know already as the number of Wi-Fi dependent products increase in a home the strain on the home’s network, especially the router grows. That is where an “AC” router, Wi-Fi extenders and expert help because they help eliminate dead zones within the house. The AC1900 comes with one DST, or “Dead Spot Terminator,” adapter and was built to support 10+ connected devices. As a blogger that makes me very happy! Installation was easy and I can tell you that I have not had any issues in the week or so that I have been using this router. We have about eight differednt devices that dependent on Wi-Fi.

We have always liked our Netgear routers, but I’ve never bought them at Best Buy before.
I really would love to try out the Netgear® Nighthawk™ DST Router and DST Adapter! It looks like such a great product and we really like Best Buy and go there all the time. My son loves shopping at this store!
Sometimes I feel I am very far behind the times! I enjoyed the info in your post, especially the info about the Philips hue white and color starter kit.
We love Netgear—it works nicely with Linux. These homes are amazing. I remember science fiction as a kid predicting these kinds of “controls” for every home.
I like the lightbulbs, they look very cool.
Good to know about the Netgear® Nighthawk™ DST Router and DST Adapter. I was just reading about slow internet that it could be an outdated router – why get your router from your internet provider, the article said you should update it every few years, good to know I can get it at Best Buy.

The back part of our house has some dead spots, I bet this would help.

I love these lights. I would absolutely love to try the Netgear Dead Spot Terminator Series too. Do you know if the DST works in hotels? We travel and this would be great to use when internet is so limited.
