This year has been so full for us both personally and professionally. One thing I always do is look back. Since we do so many product reviews I love sharing the best products of 2018 with all of you. It is no big surprise that many of the products came to us during our holiday gift guide. However there may be a few that you remember from earlier in the year.
That above paragraph was how I began this article way back at the beginning of January. Now as I sit here there is no way I can put together the best of. There are several reasons. The biggest at this moment is that I can barely hold me eyes open.
Things have been a bit rough around here during November and December. First poor Sam got hurt. That means with his illness and Autism he needs more care than the average child when they get hurt. It drains me a bit whenever that happens. I don’t shelter him because I want him to have as normal of a childhood as possible. We just have take some extra precautions but they don’t always stop thins from happening.
Then the other kids all managed to pick up the flu. Yep! The three who haven’t had their flu shots yet got two days before their appointments. I don’t know if you have ever had multiple kids sick but it ain’t pretty. Add that on top of keeping them isolated from Sam, Ma, and my uncle ( all of whom are high risk and got their shots right away) made things tricky at best.
I didn’t get the older kids shots right away because they were still in school and I had made an appointment for the first day they were off for the holidays. That way no one missed any school time. I feel a bit stupid for waiting now.
Anyway, all of this has left me a bit behind in work. It meant I worked Christmas day and have been working hard to catch up. I am taking today and tomorrow off and doing nothing. I am crawling back into the bed and hiding from the world for a bit.
SEE Y’ALL IN 2019!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
