I love reading the bible to the kids and they love hearing the stories but I am always in the lookout for better and more engaging ways to share them. Ani-Mates from Go Bible is something that entertains the older kids and the babies while sharing our love of Christ.
We received an Ani-Mates Puppy (although there is a bear and a lamb which will be available in the spring) which right away I knew would be a huge hit in our home. He connects to the iPod or iPad so the stories can come to life for the older kids. Honestly this has become a wonderful teaching tools for us.
He also plays 30 preloaded, professionally recorded children’s Bible stories which the older kids enjoy but the babies love it. As you can see in the video below he talks and tells the stories and the kids listen. I actually turn him during nap time and they fall asleep listening to the stories. That way they get their few minutes a day with the bible as well. His mouth moves which amazes them. They think he is talking to them and they will babble back to him.

Just adorable and tried to win one of these beauties last year. What a great idea to have the kids drifting off to sleep, listening to His word. Must get one this year.

What a great idea! I had a Children’s Bible that I used to read to them when they were younger. This would have been so much more fun. I love how the puppies mouth moves in the video. What a great way to teach you kids about the bible and have them enjoy it.

This is one of the talking stuffed animals that you wouldn’t mind giving to your kids. My only concern would be that there are only 30 pre-loaded stories. I wonder if they have updates, which allow you to download additional Bible stories. If you could build upon the stories, that would be great!
This is such a cute idea for kids and their faith. Plus, the animals are 100% cuddly and perfect for a childhood toy.
