I am so excited to have more Desert Steel to bring to you all. For those who aren’t familiar with them they are a garden art and sculpture company who has some of the most beautiful pieces. While I don’t have a huge garden or really an area that could be called a garden I do have a small space that is slowly becoming more beautiful. My Daisy Tiki Torch from them is one of the most asked about items when people come to my home.

This time they sent me their Tulip Tree Bird Feeder and I will tell you I was a little worried. We had some bird incidents recently where Ma swore they were attacking her. They weren’t, they were just managing to get onto the porch. I big owl later that I move around and they aren’t getting on the porch anymore. I did have to put this together a little. Meaning I had to attache the chain to the top as well as the attach the bottom piece. It took two minutes tops. The chain slipped right in and the bottom screw on with the provided bolt. It actually took longer to get it out of the box.
Isn’t that beautiful? It is made from a durable all-weather steel but it is not heavy. I was worried about that because it looks like it would be very heavy. It isn’t though. There are drainage holes for the water so you don’t have to worry about that being a problem. Just fill it up with seed, hang it and you are good to go. I love the vibrancy of the green. It really makes this piece look spectacular.
You can see where I attached the bottom with the bolt int he picture above. We hung it originally on the back porch because we were having some storms. I will say that I am glad I did because the tree I planned on hanging it from didn’t survive the storm. Don’t judge my back porch, it needs to be painted and I just haven’t had the time. All in all I will tell you that this is a beautiful addition to our yard and will be a much talked about piece.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

That’s a pretty little bird feeder. We have been setting up our feeders and preparing for all the birds coming in. Hummingbirds showed up last night. I will have to watch for this on. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, what a pretty item! I’ve never had a bird feeder, as I’ve been living in various apartments (in a very large city) since age 18. When I was young, though, I remember my mother having a few small wooden birdhouses. This post brought back some memories!
As I looked at your photos I thought, That looks so carefully made! I’m browsing Desert Steel’s website now, and getting the same impression. Their pieces are truly works of art, and there’s so much creativity!
Thank you for sharing this; I love it!

I found the post from your FB page and I am in awe over the cool steel creations from Desert Steel. I thought the tulip tree bird feeder was awesome then I saw the Fuchsia Hummingbird feeder and flower torches. Cool stuff!
