It’s funny because I would call what I have been going through more like a midlife crisis (okay more like four or five) but I know that it is simply Blogger Burnout! That happens and when it hits there is little you can do about. I would love to say that I stopped it in its tracks but I haven’t. I have read every article there and have tried all the techniques. Nothing worked! So where does that leave me?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I’m not a blogger, but I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ve had a festival business for 10 years and since having my son, it’s gotten a lot harder and I find myself at a crossroads in life at 34. This year I am hiring help and hoping I find a different rhythm.
Rita says
I hope that you are able to find a different rhythm. It is so hard when you work to build something up and then realize that you work more than you thought you would and just seem lost about it all.

I honestly think you do a awesome job at blogging! It is nice that you take the time to share with us, not just products reviews, giveaways, and such, but your true feelings about your life in general. I think that is awesome that you really let us know what is going on behind the scenes and keep us updated.
Rita says
Thank you! It means a lot to me that you all enjoy what I do. I really try to share a part of myself as often as I can with you all. The love and support I get helps me more than you all will ever know.

Hang in there! I have been in a similar state with my job lately and through lots of prayers and pleading with God, I think I have gotten some answers and am at a better place now.
Rita says
I am so glad to hear that you are at a better place. I have been praying and doing a little screaming and I am certain I will get there soon.

I could not have said that better! I love what I do but I love my family first and foremost and after the last couple of years I can’t put my children through the doubt again. I want them to know that they will always come first before anything else.

YOU are a super star Rita. Give yourself a break…you do the work of 10 women! I cant even do ONE Of your jobs right. Blessings and peace to your every day!
Rita says
Thank you Eileen! One of the biggest things that I have been telling myself is that it is okay to say no and not have a meltdown if the day doesn’t go according to plan. Those days happen and I am learning to just roll with it.

I definitely hear where you are coming from… I have a blog but haven’t written in it in ages. I totally relate, sometimes life just takes over and you have to go with the flow. Between my job, being a Mom, and health issues it’s been rough but I keep doing the best I can.
