The Book of Ruth

Jan 01, 2014 | Rita

Now that we have made our way through the book of Esther I thought we would go through the book of Ruth. If you are new to these series you will find that I am anything but a pastor. I read through each book and talk about what I gain from them. You can follow along and join in the conversation whenever you wish.

Don’t worry about if your opinions are different. We all have different opinions and that is what makes us so wonderful over here. We respect your opinion and hope that you will respect ours.

The Book of Ruth tells the story of Naomi and Ruth and the struggles they went through. I find this one of the most amazing books of the bible for one simple reason. Ruth was not Jewish at all. She didn’t know anything of God when she married Naomi’s son. Still God used Ruth and she became the mother of David’s grandfather.

Even though she had no knowledge of God, she learned about him through Naomi and learned to trust in him. For that allow God blessed her with the great-grandmother of one of the most important figures in the bibles.

The book of Ruth has always been one of my favorites. I’m not quite sure why, but I have always enjoyed reading about Naomi & Ruth!

It is such a great story because it shows how God can and does use anyone. Even if you think you are not good enough for God you are and everyone is.

You are right. It really goes to show how God can and will use anyone for his works

I remember a little of The book of Ruth. I do remember that her devotion and love was an amazing story. I don’t know that there are any other stories that connect so much with most people.

I think the story of Naomi and Ruth is one of the most inspiring of the BIble. It was such a hard time for women to be alive. It’s wonderful to have a story that ends well.
