Brach’s Candy Corn Sampling and Milkshake

Oct 21, 2015 | Rita

I received the product samples mentioned below to facilitate my review. However all opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Brach's Candy Corn

The best part about Halloween to me is Brach’s Candy Corn! I’m not kidding at all! I wait all year for it, now I know I could eat it other times during the year but there is something about waiting until Halloween that makes it all the more special. This year we were lucky enough to be sent a few different products from Brach’s that would have made Halloween great but I am gonna be honest and tell you that I ate them! I did however make a mean Candy Corn Milkshake that I will share with you all as well.

Minis, Pumpkins, and Good Old Original Brach’s Candy Corn!

Brach'sCandy Corn 2

Brach’s Orginial Candy Corn and the Mellowcreme Pumpkins are my standard Halloween favorites! Like I said I just love having them and I always have then in my drawer. However I noticed this year there was Mini Candy Corn and the resealable bag makes it perfect for my desk or even when we are traveling in the car.

Flavors! Flavors! Flavors!

Brach'sCandy Corn 3

This year we got to try some different flavors! Ma really loved the Peanut Butter Cup flavor because she loves to eat those. It was just liek eating a peanut butter cup and was really rich and creamy. The Pumpkin Spice was my second favorite (original is my first) because it really brought forth the season for me. Of course the kids loved the S’mores flavor because it reminded them of the beach during the summer (that’s what they said!) All of the flavors were wonderful each in their own way.

Brach’s Candy Corn Milkshake

Brach's Candy Corn Milkshake

This milkshake was the easiest thing in the world to make! The biggest thing (you will notice if you look closely in the picture above) is that sometimes the little pieces settle to the bottom of the glass. Just use your straw to stir and it will mix in again. I take about 5-10 handfuls of candy corn (any flavor) and run them through my blender until they have broken down into little pieces. I tried the food processor once and all I got was candy corn dust. Then it is as simple as blending vanilla ice cream and milk with the pieces until you get the consistency that you want. I top it with whipped cream and garnish with a couple of whole candy corns. Like I said easy peasy! I use vanilla ice cream because it allows the candy corn flavor to come through and I like that!

I had no idea that there were so many flavors of candy corn. I like the original but I’d love to try the peanut butter cup flavor too. The milkshake looks tasty, maybe we’ll make them for Halloween to drink while we sit and pass out candy.

I never thought of turning candy corn into a milkshake. I used to love those little pumpkins when I was little.

Those pumpkins are great! You can use the pumpkins for a milkshake and it will turn the whole thing orange which is just as great!

The milkshake sounds good, but I’m kind of a purist – I love my candy corn straight. I am also a big fan of the Mellowcreme Pumpkins. I love to use them, as well as candy corn, to decorate cakes and cupcakes.

I never thought of putting candy corn into a milkshake. Sounds delicious. Although I would use the pumpkins because to me they just taste so much better than regular candy corn. Since they are big, I would use the mini candy corn as a garnish.

One of my top favorite things about Halloween is for sure the availability of candy corn. It’s delicious!! I really like your idea of making a milkshake with them too. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

I never did like them. I would try those new flavors, but the original candy corn has a weird taste. I gave them away when I was little out of my trick or treat bag.

This does sound delicious! I probably would also use vanilla ice cream or maybe even frozen yogurt, for nana here I might even add in a capful of brandy or something loll
