Have you seen the commercials for Outlander, the new show coming to Starz on August 9th at 9 pm EST? It is based on the international best-selling books by ,Diana Gabaldon and I have been so excited waiting for it to come on. It takes place in Scotland which is a bit different and I love it! I was lucky enough to actually get to see the first two episodes and I can tell you that this show is going to be the one television show that I don’t miss. After seeing the first two episodes I went back to reading the book waiting for the show to premiere.
Outlander is about married combat nurse,Claire Randall, who actually falls through time. She falls from 1945 to 1743 and is forced to learn to live where she is while she figures things out. Claire has a passionate affair and is torn between her lover and her husband. Two vastly different men from two vastly different eras.
Caitriona Balfe plays Claire and she is simply beyond brilliant! She really brings Claire to life! Sam Heughan plays Jamie and Frank/Jack Randall is played by Tobias Menzies. Both of whom are also great actors and their characters come to life through them. I love the kilts and period costumes. Add to that every week we get an electrifying a romance every week. What is there not to love?
I know! The fact that you can already start streaming the first episode (it became available on August 2nd) on Starz online, and then watch it again when it premieres on TV on the 9th. You can even connect with fellow fans on the Outlander Facebook page.
Have you by chance read the books? Are you excited about the new series on Starz?

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
