Ma is a huge fan of vintage stuff as well as things that remind her of when she was younger. That is why I knew that Nostalgiaville would be a hit in our home and I could not have been more right. When she saw everything she had to tell me all about using it or seeing tings like it when she was a girl. The kids loved hearing those stories and it helps Ma to remember them.
In business since 1982 Nostalgiaville, LLC is a family-owned and operated business with a mission is to provide the best, fastest, and friendliest service possible. They offer everything from party supplies to vintage clothing. They even have retro candy which you all know I love. Some of it I even remember having as a child.
The 50’s Classic Car Food Boxes were something I had never seen before but loved. I wanted so badly to put food in them but Ma wouldn’t hear of it. She wanted them put together and put on a shelf. I swear sometimes. These would be perfect for a birthday party or an outdoor barbecue.
They come flat and then you bend them and put them together easily. It took me three seconds or so. You can select the car or choose a party pack of random cars. There are also paper liners available. If you don’t want (or forgot) the liners you can use wax paper which is what I used (don’t tell Ma!) The inside of the car is where your food goes and it will hold fries or even a small burger. Actually I put the fries inside and the burger on the trunk.
Ma’s favorite items were the Classic Saddle Shoes. She could not have been happier when she got them and I think I may have to find her a poodle skirt to go along with them. She told the girls about the pair she had as a child and the skirts that she would wear with them. I had to google them so the girls could understand what she was talking about. These shoes are well made and she has worn them a couple of times already. She is getting ready to take a trip and has them packed, ready to go. I told her I didn’t think she would need them but she vetoed that.
For Reese’s birthday last year he got his bedroom redone in an Army theme. So when I was looking at which tin sign I wanted just wasn’t sure. I couldn’t decide which one would work the best until I can to the Uncle Sam I Want You tin sign. I knew right away that it would be perfect in his bedroom. When they came to visit recently and I gave it to him he was so excited. He said he knew right where it would hang. Tin signs are really popular right now. I know that Reese has a couple and my brother has one wall in garage covered in them.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
