Buffalo Plaid Update + Roaring 20’s Giveaway Hop

You may have remember not so long ago that I redid the dining room. I promised that I would share the curtains when we finally made a decision. I have all of that for y’all today. Also I am taking part in the Roaring 20’s Giveaway Hop thanks The Kids Did It and The Mommy Island. So there is a lot going on here.

As I said we redid the dining room chairs and painted the table which you can read about here. I decided to go with the buffalo plaid look. The problem was I couldn’t decide on the curtains I waned to use. Finally I found some buffalo plaid shades.

They are the kind that you can button up at the bottom. We actually have them straight because I was in the process of getting the wrinkles out when stopped to take this picture. I purchase four of these but two fit this large window well. A tip on the wrinkles, I simply grabbed a shade at the bottom in one hand. Sprayed a little light starch on there in a mist and then took my hair dryer and rang it back and forth. It took the wrinkles out without having to take the shades back down.

After some thinking we decided to do a plain black place mat and napkin. We pulled those together with a simple white napkin ring. At least for the every day. I still haven’t found something to go in the middle of the table that I like and Ma won’t decide she needs more but all in all everything came together well I think. Keeping the table simple has helped make everything look a little more casual and not as busy.

  84. we did that to my grandma kitchen one time my aunt had to make long curtains
    they had 6 ft window and then we did the checkerard placmats and then my uncle ainted
    the the top of the cabinet
